Up and coming at NSAE

NSAE is always changing...

And now for something else entirely...
A brief commentary on the history of Equitation...
And..what about art and equitation?

And getting better!

For one thing, we're presently hiring barn help.... check it out and feel free to click to apply here if you're local.

Craig is exploring a wonderful new level of equitation called "Mediterranean Horsemanship" which he learned from a wonderful Italian trainer named Pucci. It appears it may be the missing link in Baucher's work. The method is very hands on and forms the integral first baby steps you take with a young horse and is a powerful method for reclaiming the "inner foal" for our more troubled older horses.

As the foundation gets going, NSAE is also planning to integrate more art into the program. You'll find Craig experimenting with horse dancing, this year he's reading up on Newtonian physics and music theory and considering the way the horse becomes a gyroscope, the rider either ignoring, augmenting or fighting that movement...

We're looking for musicians, artists, gardeners, craftsmen and women who can bring a special stamp to the programs here, trading services, anyone?

We'll be teaching drawing and hosting equine life drawing sessions on site... and as the saying goes, much, much more.
