The Intensive:

This course is appropriate for riders from any background. Design your own equitation retreat, from 5 days to two weeks on site at NSAE. You'll be developing your balanced seat, and riding or working a horse in hand two to three times daily. You'll be on site throughout the day to observe and ask questions between sessions. Study with Mary Anne Campbell or Sam Cochrane, the skilled NSAE staff or schedule your sessions with Craig Stevens himself. Develop your seat and your understanding of the aids, deepen your appreciation for the tact required to ride your horse brilliantly, so that both of you equally find yourselves enjoying the conversation. Intensives are set up individually with each rider: email to the office to explore scheduling options.

The Professional's Course Program:

Requires a full one year minimum commitment.  A prospective student may not make the commitment until after completing an intensive and satisfactorily finishing an application process. NSAE offers personal and professional development work for riders who are ready to take their work to a much deeper level. The program is geared to get the rider well oriented to a career as a professional groom, barn manager, teacher, trainer or rider.
