Studying Equitation at NSAE

What makes us different? Craig Stevens' scholarship has developed a method of teaching and training classical riding, a method that is at once at the cutting edge of modern riding technique-- and centuries, even thousands of years old.  Craig himself teaches riders from the most beginning level through to masters classes, and the staff instructors he's trained offer a level of excellence in riding instruction that is hard to find in the US. The horses also are schooled to a high degree- and, because balance is the first lesson taught, and tact is the second, the horses remain fresh and ready to respond with higher level work as the rider develops.

Childrens' Lessons:

As a parent you'll appreciate our outstanding safety record. Our commitment is that each child will have a wonderful time and stay remarkably safe while learning to ride brilliantly among people who care about children and horses.

Adults Lessons:

As adults we can appreciate some of the finer points of what we're working with, and especially if we've had modern riding lessons, the difference quickly becomes evident.

For information on the Professionals Course, a one year program for students ready to learn to become professional horse trainers and riding instructors, follow this link. Click here for information on the work - study program affiliated with the Professional's course.

For in-depth short term programs for beginners to professional level, consider the intensive.

Riding is for everyone.

At NSAE there's no pressure to be perfect,

there's just an ongoing delight in the discovery process inherent in time spent in the company of horses.
